Server Name Change

Thursday 19th of February 2015

This is to inform you that IC Markets will be changing the name of their Live3 server after the market closes on the 20th of February, 2015. The server will be renamed and listed as "Live03" in your trading platforms.



They Advise all their clients to login prior to the market open on Monday the 23rd of February, 2015 to ensure everything is working correctly. Some clients may need to login by manually entering the IP address of the Live03 platform which remains unchanged at 38.76.4.117.



Also, after this change all chart history will be saved in a new history folder Live03 instead of the existing Live3 folder. IC Markets advise traders using EAs to be mindful of this and configure their settings accordingly.

Change in leverage

As a result of the recent decision on the 15th of January, 2015 by the Swiss National Bank (SNB) to remove the peg on the EUR/CHF pair the market in general has expressed concerns regarding the stability of other pegged currencies.

In order to protect our clients and mitigate their exposure to unnecessary volatility, IC Markets have decided to increase the margin requirements in the following exotic pairs. The margin changes will take effect at 12:00 platform time on Monday the 23rd of February, 2015.

This change will impact all clients with existing open positions.



IC Markets recommend that you review you existing open positions or deposit additional funds to ensure that your account is not subject to liquidation once the margin change occurs.

Presidents' Day - Change to Energy & Precious Metals trading times

Friday 13th of February 2015

Presidents' Day is Monday the 16th of February, and on this US bank holiday there will be an early close for Energy & Precious Metal trading. There will be no changes to the FX market open hours and Pepperstone will operate normal customer support.

The Forex markets will be open throughout this period but liquidity is expected to be lower than normal. The Precious Metals and Energy symbols will close at 19:45 GMT+2, and then re-open 5 hours later at 01:00.

Trading hours for precious metals during US Presidents' Day 2015

Thursday 12th of February 2015

FinFX would like to notify their clients that due to US Presidents' Day on the 16th February 2015, there are some changes in the trading schedule for precious metals.

The Gold (XAUUSD) and Silver (XAGUSD) pairs will close on Monday 16 February 2015 at 18:00 GMT and reopen again at 23:00 GMT!

However, the Forex pairs will be open normally during this time.
